Target group:

This face-to-face workshop is primarily designed for professionals involved in the supply chain of pharmaceutical excipients, including excipient suppliers, distributors and those in the pharma industry engaged in supplier qualification and auditing all of whom regularly address GDP related challenges. This may also include quality, regulatory, as well as logistics personnel responsible for ensuring appropriate storage and warehousing, transportation, and handling conditions in order to maintain best practice across complex global supply chains.

Programme:

The content of the training will focus on the application of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles, drawing on the WHO Good Trade and Distribution Practices (GTDP) guidance and the IPEC GDP Guide for pharmaceutical excipients, to support participants in implementing robust, risk-based systems that safeguard product quality and integrity throughout distribution.


Objectives

The main objective is to:

Provide participants with knowledge and understanding of what needs to be applied to mitigate risks within the supply chain.

The course was developed to:

  • highlight the issues within complex supply chains
  • provide awareness and understanding of the updated version of the IPEC GDP Guide
  • promote awareness of the supply chain issues within regulatory bodies and academia

Participants will be able to:

Apply the learnings within the supplier and user environments to challenge the way their supply chain currently operates in order to make it more robust by applying a risk based approach.
